readruminations was founded in 2024 to share my passion for books with fellow readers. After years of reading, I remain enthusiastic about young adult fiction and genres like science fiction and fantasy, which I’ll showcase on this blog. You can also look forward to seeing other types of books I enjoy, including but not limited to horror, romance, and thrillers.

I’m Brandon Brewer, a 40-year-old dog dad who’s always called Alberta home.

I’m passionate about books and hockey, and I’m always looking for new people to share that passion with. My day job isn’t in publishing, though collaborating with readers in some capacity has always been a dream of mine.

Random facts about me:

• My favorite books are Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies and The Old Man and the Sea—both remain among my all-time favorites.
• My preferred genres are exploration, science fiction, and romance.
• My favorite movies include Inception, The Martian, and most Marvel and DC films.
• I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, especially jazz and folk.
